6.893 Course Information
  • Help shape the post-pc world by learning how to control,
    program, and interact with an environment infested with digital devices.


  • The course will cover: Speech Recognition, Location,
    Gesture Recognition, Linux on iPaq, Indoor GPS, Jabber Instant Msg.


  • Collaborate with students on the other side of the world.


  • The course covers many technologies comprising pervasive computing
    which will be used in a final project involving multiperson
    interactive games.


  • Enrollment limited to 16 students (due to a limited number of
    ipaqs and other equipment).
